Math addition fact strategies
The students were exploring different strategies to help them learn math addition facts. They then worked with a partner to help identify the ones that they knew and the ones that they weren't to confident with!
Mindmapping
Students were using the big floor mind-map today to think creatively and explore questions linked to our central idea 'My experiences shape the way I think and act'.
One of the big ideas we discussed was:
If you disgree with someone you learn more ideas and different opinions.
Some of the questions raised were:
How might you think and act differently to people with different experiences?
How and why do we all think and respond differently?
Does knowing people from different cultures change the way you act?
Do I think differently because I go to an International School?
Why am I who I am?
How does my family have an influence on the way I think and act?

Thinking Math
How many ways can you solve a problem? Knowing lots of ways can help us choose a really good way!
Exploring what we know about numbers and the number system
Mrs. Godsmark just finished her timeline! Check it out!
I just finished my timeline roller coaster. I wonder if anyone can figure out some of the symbols and come up with a theory of what happened in my life...

What makes a book good?
Choosing books that we think we will enjoy is lots of fun and can be very exciting. Waiting for the next book in a series that you love reading can be tantalising! However, everyone is different and everyone enjoys different books.
To understand what makes a book good, we should start with ourselves.....what are our favourite books & authors and why? Maybe we could even recommend some of our favourite books to others, or tell someone about our favourite parts or characters..............
